Why is all the video media coming in low resolution when sent through iMessages... This is very annoying. I see it happened back in 2012 as well... Does Anyone have a fix?

Who is your carrier, and what is your plan?
Could this have to do with your mobile plan having SD streaming vs HD streaming?
Do you only get low resolution videos when the messages are received over Cellular vs over WIFI?

Did you find an answer elsewhere for this? my wifes just sent me a load of photos and they are all low res. I sent her a raw image via iMessage and that sent it from 20 to 2 meg..

Do you have low-quality image mode switched on?

System Settings > Messages > Low-quality image mode (Its the bottom option on my iPhone / iPad)

Nope that’s turned off. Any other ideas? Does air drop guarantee full res?

Think the RAW is the problem.

For example, can't Message Apple ProRAW with Messages (or Mail), will be converted to JPEG. Need to use Airdrop or iCloud Photos to share ProRAW.

Can see that applying to other RAW formats that Apple supports.
