I am receiving a low signal strength on my new MacBook Pro and I don't understand why. My old Macbook which is right next to the new MacBook Pro is receiving a better signal strength than the new MacBook Pro. Any ideas as to why and what I can do to improve the signal strength on the new MacBook Pro?

yes, the macbook gets better signal because its plastic and wireless signals go through plastic much better than aluminum

This has been the case for (at least 5) years. My original Aluminum PowerBook got terrible reception compared to plastic laptops. The metal case really kills the range.
