Everything on my iPhone works perfectly except the very bottom of my touchscreen, which has become unresponsive. It is only like the last 1/4 inch of it so that means when I use the keyboard, the bottom rows of keys don't work (space bar, "123", and return) My iPhone turns 1 year on july 4th so I am going to take it into the apple store to see what they'll do. What do you think they will do?

Also, this phone has been jailbroken but never unlocked, but after i upgraded to 1.1.4 i never bothered to jailbrake it agin, so should i be ok?

Thanks, Tom

You will be fine. You are still within the warranty period (just) and this is a common problem with the iPhone. Apple should replace it. :)

Had the same problem with my phone, just the top half stopped working. Took it the Apple store and had a new one 15 mins later. When did you buy your iPhone?

OK, thanks. I will bring it in later. Hopefully they still have iPhones there....
And my 1 year is up on July 4th.

I am pissed. The "Genius" said that since there is a dent in the bottom corner from a drop (on the speaker gril, which happened 4 months ago) that they cant do anything since its "physical damage"

So, now m question is, where can i buy just the bottom black plasic piece online so i can replace it and bring it back in. then they cant see that i dropped it. (even though me dropping it has nothing to do with the problem.

well i actually just found it online for $20 and i had to 2nd day UPS it so it will get here before warrenty is up. that was another $20 so this better work!

So I got replaced the dented plastic antenna cover and tried to return it again and it worked. No questions asked. My sister who I will be selling my iPhone too when i get the 3G is really lucky because now she gets a brand new 1st generation.
