LPDDR4X ram?

Hey y’all,

I noticed in the latest iPhone teardowns (8, 8 Plus, X) that they all have LPDDR4X ram as opposed to LPDDR4 of the last two years on the iPhone 6s and 7 line. Any idea what the differentiator is?

No, the only reason I see for this, is the larger screen or space for the True Depth Camera. But it shouldn’t be.

Not really worried as I am curious to know why. Same OS, just wondering why there is .2 available missing.
