LTE Data USAGE, we told you so!

The thing is none us have Unlimited. We have a plan that will throttle us at 5 Gig (reportedly) on LTE.

If you reach the throttle limit or change your usage because of it...you essentially have a cap. But the psychology of 'unlimited' makes some people feel better.

It's like telling you car gets unlimited miles per tank....it's just it'll only go 3 mph once you reach certain mileage for the month.

At this time Verizon doesn't throttle 4G data and you can still get unlimited 4G data from them

I haven't touched my phone in ten minutes. Wifi is on and no apps are running. Yet I use 1kb of data??

So which is right? Verizon app shows me using far less data than when I look at cellular data in usage. I wonder if there's a big in ios6? It increases one kb every time I hit the button to view, but when I do nothing it doesn't go up.

this is why I was not giving up my unlimited data (23.39 reasons ) ......I renewed my wifes line on our shared plan. She has a 2gb data plan on ip4. She is taking my ip4s and now VZW will not switch my ip5 over to my line until 24hrs. I waisted a d@mn trip to the store only for them to activate it and then remove the activation off my wifes line and put her ip4 back on. He said 24hrs and I will be able to activate the ip5 on my number. grrrr!!!!

Same except I paid 432(after taxes for a 64gb) + 25(activation fee) + 240(spread over 2 years at $10 a month) -$240 for selling old phone, for a grand total of $457!

16gb gonna be enough?

I've had my iphone 5 activated for 2 hours so far. Downloaded about 12 apps and set it up. Already used 1/2 GB of data! For those who have unlimited, don't give it up! Some won't know what they had until it's gone. I think Verizon & AT&T know this. This will turn into a cash cow for them, just like texting.

Something isn't right. I have turned off lte altogether and it still burns data. It has to be a bug but even on wifi I watched a YouTube video and cellular data went up a could mbs. Seriously? Are they going to play deceptive tricks to have us use our data now?

I'm pretty sure there's a bug in iOS. My Verizon shows I've used 61 MBs, but the iPhone shows 138. I think the iPhone doesn't distinguish between wifi and LTE usage yet. I guess we won't know for sure unless there's an announcement or we get our bills.

I know the risk of losing unlimited, so I don't care. I'm on wifi everywhere I go, and when I can't get wifi I don't mind bc I hardly use data anyway. But it sucks for power users.
