Lte watch Upgrading to iPhone x

My current watch is lte enabled and paired to iPhone 6. My iPhone x is coming.
If I move older SIM card from 6 to X, and re-pair the watch to the new iPhone, do I still keep the watch cellular plan intact?

I upgraded to an iPhone X and when i unpaired my series 3 from my 7 plus, the unpairing process asked me if I wanted to keep my data plan before unpairing. I selected that option and when i re-paired my new phone to the apple watch, my data plan was there. No fuss, no hassles. it just worked

I did the same, but I am having trouble. Texts that are read on my other devices don’t show as read on the watch. Also my email is stuck and hasn’t downloaded any new email since a day ago. Not sure what I need to do. Unpair/Repair?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks
