Ugh :(

Well I stopped my phone from updating. I'm on 10.1.1 hoping Luca does get around to a gamma stable release soon.

I don't really feel much confidence in this source. Especially not since they specifically said they will not be able to JB the newest iPhone iteration.

I could be wrong but I've never seen Pangu exclude one specific iPhone.

I didnt beleive Luca the first time with ios 10.1.1 and then I lost my chance to jailbreak. Should I beleive him this time?

Is it better to save blobs for ios 10.2 using Prometheus or to just update to ios 10.2 directly?

Hope it happens soon. Just upgraded to 10.2 from my jailbreak 9.0.2. Thinking I wouldn't miss it. I need some Spotifree in my life...

I am trying to save my blobs for ios 10.2 using Prometheus but I need to convert my ECID number from decimal to hexadecimal. Somebody knows of a program or any converter that can do this?

Does anyone know if it is possible to save 10.2 blobs from your iPhone or do you have to have a pc/Mac?
Further, do I need to upgrade to 10.2 to save the blob? Probabkyndimb wuestion but I haven't done anything in this area for ages.

Edit: seems you don't need to be in 10.2. But I also didn't come across a way to do without a computer. Seems very easy though. Surely you can borrow one for a few?

Plug in your device to your computer and start itunes. Click on "Serial number" a couple times until it turns to "ECID." Press ctrl-c to copy it, go to https://tsssaver.1conan.com/, and paste it in. Select your iphone model, complete the CAPTCHA, and hit submit. Voila!
You can also get your UDID with this and change it into hex with the translator on 1conans page: http://cydia.saurik.com/package/com.malcolmhall.udidcalculator/

I'd wait on 10.1.1 if I was in that predicament and wouldn't even bother jailbreaking or doing anything. Just on stock 10.1.1
Current version is not ready.
I ultimately ended up doing that. I didn't realize you could save blobs for 10.2 without actually being on it, but turns out it is really easy. My worry was the 10.2 JB hitting and Apple only signing something like 10.2.1 or higher and then being boned. Anyway, complete lack of knowledge on my part.... I feel like a broken record but it's been a while. Since iOS 7 really lol.

Appreciate the assistance (everyone). :)

Thank you. A minor added step (for the 6s plus anyway) was needing to know whether I had a TSMC or Samsung chip and finding the identifier. Not hard, but it's a step I missed and was getting errors.

I hope we do get a jailbreak because I picked up a jet black 7+ yesterday hoping it would be on iOS 10.1.1 but it was on iOS 10.2:rolleyes:

The phone itself I find is huge and the last one I got I only kept for a few days but this time I'm going to give it a good try. The jet black is so much easier to hold than my black iP7
