Lunar Eclipse Tonight

The skies cleared up and I was able to get a good naked eye view of the moon and Saturn around 10pm EST

Outside my house at 10:06 pm. I believe thats Saturn bottom left.

That's just what it looked like from my front porch. It was cloudless here in western NY. Too bad it was so stinkin' dang cold out there...

I don't watch the skies much anymore, but I don't recollect seeing Saturn that bright before..

same here. i remember when the moon went blood red when the red sox won. that was a great eclipse.

That's called "The Schilling Moon"

Being able to predict eclipses was a great way to keep the poor ignorant masses... poor and ignorant. The gods are angry the gods are displeased... they will make the moon disappear.... I will wave my arms, I will sacrifice to the gods... I will ask them to make the moon comeback...

Easy pickin's but you need to be good at math.
