Hello I am looking to invest in the Lutron Caseta, I am doing a basement remodel on a 110 year old house and getting Liteline SLIM LEDs I my goal to have as much control over the Lighting as possible.

I will need at least 3 dimmer switches, and a hub. I do not want to pay for the Pico smart remotes, but if they come free cause the packages are so big that is ok.

1. Any Recommends on a Lutron Caseta Smart Lighting Kit package hat includes the Smart Bridge and dimmer switches?
2. Is the HUB required for normal operationn? Like if our home app breaks or something we want it to operates just like a regular switch, is that how it works.
3. Diva Smart? A lot of YouTubers recommend this new Diva Smart Switch.. Is it a better switch and fader than the older multi button Caseta dimmer switch?
4. Voice Commands? Can I go "Hey Siri turn on this light?"
5. Anyone recommend the Lutron motion detection? It would be great to walk into the basement and the light turns on automatically.

I appreciate anyone that can steer me in the right direction.

Here are answers to some of your questions that in have experience with:

The hub is not required for normal operations. They will act as regular dumb dimmers/switches if your smart home or network goes down.

If you bridge the Lutron Caseta system to HomeKit, yes you will be able to control using Siri. They will act as any HomeKit switch/dimmer.

I don’t believe the Lutron motion detection is exposed to HomeKit so they will only control the lights but you can get a motion detector from another brand that supports HomeKit and have it turn on/more than just your lights. Any HomeKit supported device that may be in that basement. If you just need the lights to go on/off, then there’s no issue with getting them.

1. You only really need one bridge, two if you want a backup. You can sell the other bridges if you find a deal on 'kits'.

2. The physical switches will still work even if your hub, LAN, or goes down. Automations may not, depending on your setup.

3. Meh, up to you.

4. If you have an Apple TV or any Homepod, and the Caseta hub has been linked to Homekit, yes, voice control 'just works'.

5. You should probably use other Homekit/compatible sensors. this way you can integrate them fully into Homekit and fire off richer automations, not isolated to Caseta functions.

bonus protip: Those pico's are great!!!

if you run homebridge and link the Caseta hub to it, you can bridge them to homekit in a way that lets you use them as a wireless multi-button scene controller, or remote light switch. super handy and works flawlessly!
