Hello everyone,

I have m1 air and only 2 years old. It is 118 cycles and battery health is %86. Unfortunately, it is decreasing %1-%2 in every two weeks. Before this Mac, I had 2012 model MacBook Pro. Though it was over 800 cycles, battery health was %88.

I think it is not normal. M1 air users, do you experience same thing?

It should level out, I wouldn't particularly worry about it.

Do you leave it on charge all the time? It could be worth looking into an app like AlDente to cap the charge limit to 80%.

The OS can do this natively without a third party app. I know it’s not totally the same, but just saying it’s worth looking at.

Optimized Battery Charging.

I noticed the same on my M1 Air.
Apple says 86% and 284 cycles after 3 years of use.
Coconutbattery says 82%.

I have Optimized Battery Charging on. I sometimes look at the charging graph and most of the time it just charges to 100 percent immediately, even though I put it on and off the charger at about the same time every day.

Batterylife is ok, but I expected better. With screen on max brightness while videoconferencing it lasts max 3 hours. If I lower the screen brightness and do other work on it than videoconferencing then it would last me the whole workday most of the time.

No two measurement sources agree. Apple always the higher.
