Getting really frustrated. My M1/16/1TB Air is having issues with my external monitor, I am using a Dell WDTB19 Dock hooked up to a 27" Element gaming monitor. It refuses to show a signal on the external display on the monitor unless I move a window to an iPad first. Otherwise the external display won't receive a signal. I don't understand what the iPad has to do with it. It works fine with my other TB Macs including my other M1/8/512. I don't get what the iPad has to do with Mac sending a display signal first. Super weird.
Even more strangeness, once I get it working, if I turn on the VPN it goes blank again.
