M1 Air - how to make notes unlock with Touch ID?

I have some locked notes on iCloud; I recently got a M1 Air and I thought that you could use the touch ID to open locked notes, but it only wants me to type in the password - am I missing something?

It's under preferences. Unlock with Touch ID.

D'oh! That would be the obvious place... I was looking under the settings for Touch ID 🙂 thank you!!
