M1 Air - lately the keyboard has started to lag and I am not sure why

Within the last couple of weeks I am started to get the odd lag when typing on websites, email etc. It's never been like this, and I do not recall installing anything around the time it started happening!

Any idea where to start my investigations...?

Lagging keyboard usually means you got something going on in the background using some of your CPU. A restart will get rid of it.

Check Activity Monitor and see how busy your CPU is, and how much RAM is free mebbe.

If you ever get curious how long it’s been, open Terminal and type uptime. I was checking in on my mom’s MacBook one time and it had been running without a restart for like a full year 🤣
