M1 and Microsoft Excel issue

Excel for Mac 16.16.19 does not run very well on my MBA M1 8G, it's kind of slow. But since today a major part of the lint is every now and then greayed out. A total reboot works for a while, but it is annoying. Any suggestions?

You'd consider updating Office. Current version is 16.50.21061301

They added native support for M1 some time ago.

Excel for Mac 16.16.19 was released in February of 2020. You may want to update to a more recent version. I've been working extensively with Excel for Mac on my M1 Air for months now and haven't encountered anythink like this.
