So, my trusty 2018 12.9 is getting long in the tooth, and I figured I might as well jump to something M1 based now that there’s still some value in it.
With the M1 pros being over a year old, I was a bit hesitant, but the 256 gig airs are 3-4 weeks back ordered. So I went with an 11” Pro.
I primarily have my iPad on my desk as I work from home, so Face ID is worth it alone (I don’t have to keep reaching out for Touch ID).
I didn’t want to spend more than I did to jump up to a year old 12.9, and I figure the smaller size might be welcome in some instances. Where I’m going to potentially miss it is procreate.
But, I got to thinking, now that M1 can drive an external display independently…how far away are we from being able to use an XP-PEN/Wacom/Huion display?
This would be an absolutely perfect solution. I know the displays require drivers typically, so I’m not holding my breath….
