Hello,
I have a Dell WD19TBS docking station that I use with my laptop.
What docking station do I need to get dual monitor support on my M1 Macbook-air ?
Do I need to buy another docking station and sell the one that I have ?
Or, there is a way to extend my actual docking station to support dual monitor for M1 ?

Just to clarify - when you say "dual monitor" do you mean two external displays or do you mean one external display plus the laptop screen?

I ask because the M1/M2 air do not natively support dual external displays. However there may be work arounds for that.

Hi, Thanks for you reply, yes I mean two external monitors, I know it's possible to achieve that using DisplayLink with the right device (dock station), my question can I use my actual docking station or should I go for a another one ?

D6000 and UD22 would be the suggested DL docks from Dell. The WD19TBS won’t be able to do it unless you buy an additional DL adapter. But the docks are better for long term reliability and firmware support.

Thanks JPack, which additional DL adapter do you mean ? any suggestion ?

I used i-tec dual 4K HDMI displaylink adapter with my M1 Air ... it worked pretty ok however:

you can't use Night Shift with the DisplayLink driven monitor (they've added f.lux support recently for some of the DisplayLink chips)

forget about watching anything in the Apple TV app while DisplayLink Manager is running, also some other streaming services can have a problem with that - as they are suspecting you're recording the screen
