Had my M1 Mac Mini a couple of months. Initially, no issues, but in the past week have been experiencing frequent dropouts of Wi-Fi and personal hotspot.

My router is showing it's working fine and connecting to my Wi-Fi and through a Windows PC 12 Mini is no problem.

However despite showing a full wi-fi signal, my Mac Mini cannot connect to the internet - Safari can't find server etc.

Tried connecting to personal hotspot via my 12 Mini (which has worked previously) and I get a "Failed to enable Personal Hotspot" error message. My 12 Mini's cellular connection is working fine (I'm writing this post on it over 5G). Personal Hotspot is enabled on my 12 Mini and as I said, has worked in the past.

Got to say, this Mac Mini has had more connectivity issues than any previous Apple or Windows computer I've owned.

I also find Bluetooth connection to an Apple Mouse and third party headphones also drop occasionally.

Is this a common issue or just mine?

How frustrating, eh? I'm in the not having these issues boat. I was using my personal hotspot when I first got my M1 mini with no issues, and still no issues via wi-fi. Also not having BT connection issues with Apple Mouse 2 and Logitech K380, or a Bose Soundlink or my MX3s.

What changed in your Mini's setup in the past week? Which macOS version?

Nothing has changed. Running 11.4.

It'll stay connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth fine for 90% of the time, but occasionally the Bluetooth connection to the Apple Magic Mouse will cut out completely. With Wi-Fi it will either not connect to the internet despite showing a full Wi-Fi signal or will 'forget' the password for my Wi-Fi and I'll have to re-enter it.

Again with personal hotspot, even though my iPhone is about 3ft away, it won't connect even though personal hotspot is enabled.

I know there are so many variables - it could be my Wi-Fi/router, it could be the device itself, or a wider problem with M1 Mac Minis (I'm sure I've read of connectivity issues before).

Only posted here as I've never had this issue with previous Apple devices - an M1 MBA, i3 MBA etc.
