Hi Everyone.

I have recently noticed that my M1 Mac mini no longer goes to sleep. Neither automatically or if I select Sleep in the Apple Menu. I have recently updated to Ventura 13.2.1 but it was happening before this. The new System Settings app seems a bit unintuitive regarding sleep settings now but I haven't changed anything.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Richard

Does rebooting solve it, at least for a while?

I ask because I would occasionally get that on my 2012 Mini, and rebooting solved it. Didn't happen often enough to be a real problem.

No, it doesn't unfortunately.

Then a program is causing no sleep so first quit all programs and go to system hard disk applications Utilities folder and application Activity view to see what is running! Also open the log viewing application Console and the try the manual sleep gui action to sleep and when it fails again immediately look at the console logs to see the last failure to trace down the application preventing the sleep function!
