I read a few threads and tried watching YouTube video but I don’t think I found the answer.

I currently have a 1440p 165hz monitor that I use with my 2014 MBP when not playing on my Xbox series X. I also have a 4k 27 inch 60 hz as a secondary screen. My MBP can run the 32 inch display at 120hz and the second monitor at 4k without any issues. I am using DP for both screens. Can I do the same with the M1 Mac mini without any hubs or work arounds? I’m guessing I may need to opt for 16 gb of ram since the gpu shares with system ram?

One of the monitors has to be connected via USB-C (using a USB-C to DP adapter or cable), the other via HDMI. Not sure about the higher refresh rates, but two USB-C/DP monitors don’t work on M1.

Thanks for your reply. Guess I would need to buy a new cable.
Is 8gb sufficient for most? I don’t game and do light video editing of my kids

I have a M1 Mini with 8GB of RAM connected to two ASUS 32 inch 2560x1440 monitors (One via the HDMI port and the other connected to the HDMI port of a dongle plugged into the TB ports) and it works just fine. I often have multiple browsers and other applications and sometimes run FCP with no problems.

I have a M1 Mac mini, two monitors, one through the usb c to display port ( LG 4k ) and the other one HDMI to HDMI ( Samsung S27D850 ), both running at 2560x1440, no issues at all. It is the 16 Gig Ram and 1 TB SSD model. Running all the time: Mail, Spotify, Telegram, Meseenger, WhatsApp, and various websites open at the same time. Very happy with it. I would recommend you go with 16 of ram and at least 512 of SSD.
