has anyone else experienced a slight high pitched noise when connecting to a 4K monitor using USB-C? I just hooked my Air up to my LG 4K monitor today for the first time and noticed a slight high pitched noise. When I disconnected the USBC cable, it went away. I also hooked up my work laptop to the monitor (ThinkPad) and there was no noice (I was checking to see if it could be the monitor). It's just a slight noise but it is noticeable. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Coil whine, perhaps? I do recall someone having this issue with an M1, but I don't remember if it only happened when driving a display. In his case I think he may have exchanged it.

That unfortunately sounds like coil whine.
What model of LG 4K are you using?
Have you tried connecting via USB-C to DisplayPort?
