So I'm in the market for a new MacBook Pro and I am gonna be buying it from Amazon since apple online store doesn't exist in the place I'm in,so anyways I am looking for a laptop for programming and I have 2 options in terms of Macbook Pros
The M1 MacBook Pro and the 4 Thunderbolt 2020 MacBook Pro and I require 16 gigs of RAM but the retailers at Amazon do not sell the 16GB RAM varient at all for the M1,so should I go for the 4 Thunderbolt MacBook Pro instead since I get 16 gigs of RAM with it

Unless you need a new MacBook Pro right now, I would wait awhile until the M1 stocks are replenished and Amazon begins offering the 16GB version. Likely going to take awhile but supplies should be better in 2021.

I don't necessarily need Windows 10 but I want a really good MacBook Pro for Coding

"I'm even ready to wait for the 14 inch if it ever comes"

Then my advice is...
WAIT.

The ones that are coming along next year will probably be considerably improved.
If you can "hold out" until then, might be the best course of action.
But be aware that they probably won't be released until around the WWDC in early June...
