M1 Max Vs base M3?

I currently have a 14" M1 Max. At work I have a budget for a maxed out new iMac M3 with 24 gigs of ram. Is the M1 Max still significantly faster? Or is a base M3 chip with 8‑core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 10‑core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine going to be an improvement over the M1 Max? Usage is for Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
