M1 MBA arrived yesterday, and the trackpad is inconsistently highlighting text. Sometimes a quick double-tap does it (as expected), but sometimes it takes 3, 4, or even 5 taps in rapid succession to highlight a word or click into a text box. Have fiddled with sensitivity in Settings, to no avail. Was happening on the 11.0 it shipped with...Updated to 11.0.1, still happening.
Never had this issue on my 16" MBP, which was running all the Big Sur betas and is now running 11.0.1.
On the MBA, it's happening on ARM apps (e.g., Safari, Mail) and Intel apps (e.g., Sketch). But it's not happening in Messages.
Anyone else experiencing this?
