Ordered 13" MBA Gold 8GB 512GB SSD on 10 Jan and it arrived 13 Jan 2021.
Processed return 17 Jan 2021 and shipped it back on the 18th.
The order and return process was pretty seamless. First order from them and I was impressed with the fast delivery.

I ordered my base model space gray MBA on 12/1. I talked to customer service a few days ago and was told they had no information on when stock would be available, but that they would cancel my order if I like. I don’t want to cancel...I just want my shiny computer!

mine has status of submitted to manufacturer and had to push them for updates..
again showing inconsistency and seems the fulfillment is a bit random

Indeed I was surprised at how many were still waiting. I ordered in Dec as well and cancelled the order after 2 weeks of waiting. I just checked in once a week to see what was actually in stock and the model up from base in Gold was available so I took it.
Yes they only charged $16.65 for the return shipping since there was nothing wrong with it per se. I did not find the performance where I wanted it for some Mac games. Most worked very well. So much better than previous Intel MBA models. Running 10 Quicktime films at the same time worked flawlessly and Final Cut X was better than I expected but my MBP 16 was still faster.
The lack of Windows support is an issue but one I imagine VMware and Parallels will get fixed soon.

Wow. I ordered a gold M1 MacBook Air 16/512 with 7-core GPU on 11/30/20 and it arrived on 1/4/21. I'd follow up with them.
Yes, the listing on Adorama still says "backordered". And I am limping along fine with my 2013 mbp, so I’ve been willing to be patient, but over a month and a half seems excessive in this day and age.

keep asking I guess? by this time they should have an ETA already as it has been a while. also stocks come and go sometimes in their website.
I ordered my Macbook pro 16gb 512gb on January 5th 2021. They took the money on january 6th 2021 and it said it would be dropshipped by the manufacturer. Messaged them and they said the last week of january so im waiting to see.
I talked with customer service this morning and was told that it is now scheduled to ship out the last week in January, although there are no guarantees, and that might change. 🤞

Ordered an M1/Pro/1tb/16gb from Adorama on January 2. Got a notification last night that it’s on its way. Should be here next week.

I ordered the same, but mine was BTO(submitted to manufacturer) not backordered.Ordered Mine on 30th Dec 2020 (MBP/16/512/Grey), backordered and still no update. Contacted CS and they said it'll be shipped by 3rd week of Jan, now 4th week going on without any update
Keep bugging til they give a definitive update. Is yours discounted by any chance?
My one also BTO and its also submitted to manufacturer also showing backordered. I've used appleinsider $150 discount. Hope It'll be delivered before next version comes out :|
Adorama had some 16GB/1TB Minis in stock for a short while and I jumped on it with appleinsider's promo code, $80 off I think and no tax. I didn't need 1TB, only the 512GB but figured I'd just go with that vs. waiting who knows how long for the 512 to be in stock.
If I haven't heard anything by 2/1, I probably will. As I haven't absolutely needed it and $100 is a decent discount, I've been fine waiting, but....
