I have tried to look for this problem, but I can't even have it on long enough to try to reinstall the operating system. I can't boot is into safe mode. It crashes sometimes even before it loads the apple logo. Ive never seen this before. Right now as I speak, I tried to restart and now i just have a black screen. But the track pad works.

Now it came back on and when I try to log in, it restarts. I can't do anything with it. I'm running OS Monterey. Can anyone help? Then for a few mins, the screen started flickering on and off lol. This thing as gone crazy. This all happened out of nowhere. I tried restating holding shift down for safe mode, but it don't work.

I attached 3 different reports before it stopped full booting up. One video of the screen. The screen thing happened a few times and has not again.

Thanks,
Tommy

Do you have Apple Care on it? Sounds serious and costly… do you have Apple Store within reasonable distance? And has anything got the keyboard jammed up somewhere? Just a wild guess

Is this one of the M1 chip MBP‘s? And do you have Apple Care on it? Sounds serious and costly… do you have Apple Store within reasonable distance? And has anything got the keyboard jammed up somewhere? Just a wild guess
Hi,

It's the M1 Pro 16inch. I bought when it came out last year. November or December. I never have gotten apple care on one. I never had have any problems with owning macs in my life. I guess, I may have screwed myseelfe here. But, it should be under warranty.

I was working on it without any problems and it started going crazy to say the least lol.

I can't get it to start in safe mode. It boot loops while the power button is pressed down. Keeps saying please wait for loading options. I did it wrong at first. I did it the Intel way. now I did it right, but won't go into safe mode.

If you can't get into recovery mode then perhaps try restoring (not reviving) with another Mac/Macbook using Apple Configurator 2.

Ok, I can try this. I have a 2012 iMac i can use. I'll have to look at the instructions. Does this look like software to you? I ordered it last october 1st and and received November 7th. I should have a warranty still on it.

EDIT: It needs a new Mac to do this on it looks like. I don't think a 2012 will work. I have a Catalina on my 2012. I need 15.6 I think it says.

Well, I took it the apple store and they could not find the problem. So, they are replacing all components or replacing the whole thing.
