In case anyone was curious (like I was), here are some Geekbench benchmarks I ran to see how big of an impact low power mode has on performance. The tl;dr is it looks to be around a 20-25% reduction.

These were run on a 14-inch M1 Pro (10/16 cores, 16GB ram, 12.1 dev seed). Full results are available on the Geekbench site.

For a base 14" (8/14 cores, 16GB), I got:

Single/Multi/Metal:

Normal power: 1759/9843/38749

Low power: 1355/8332/35858

I've tested out low-power mode on the 14-inch Pro, but more in relation to reducing fan noise under sustained (>2min) CPU load, and there it results in a ~15% performance reduction.
