So I’ve seen a few side by sides here and literally NOBODY has mentioned anything other than the full size function keys….is it me or is the new Air trackpad larger in width? Can anyone confirm this? I find it fascinating if true that nobody mentions it in their reviews.

Yep. Had been wondering about the same — it seems it’s a few centimeters wider.

Would like to see it compared to the M1/M2 MacBook Pro which is known to have a noticeably larger (wider) trackpad than the M1 Air — most of the comparisons seem to just be between the M2 Air and M1 Air so far.

Ugh -- they made it bigger?

This confirmed?

The Air used to have the benefit of the trackpad not being as oversized as the one on the Pros

This Chinese reviewer has the trackpad comparison side by side. Compared to the M Air, it's narrower top to bottom (I guess expected with the full size function keys on the M2 Air) but wider. Go to 8:00.

I went to 8 minutes and didn't understand a GD word he said. In fact my head hurts.

what is an 'oversized' trackpad? i mean, what's the reference point?

the trackpad on any macbook (and the freestanding apple trackpad) is the size it is, there's no 'correct default size'...
