This laptop has been amazing, but one minor issue that I've had is that it is beginning to creak whenever I hold it with one hand by the corners beside the trackpad, no matter the side. It was dead silent for the past 2 months whenever I did that, and I was surprised it didn't creak when I first got it and was amazed by that.

No matter how much they want to say they spent re-engineering the chassis to reinforce every point for the wide base, at such a thinness it was bound to happen with all the weight coming down on the other side, and chassis flex over time. Been doing this with my M1 Air for two years and it's so much of a smaller footprint you never even think about it, my hand covers literally half the base so it isn't an issue. Guess I'll just have to remind myself to hold it like a waiter's dish from the bottom from now on.

There is such a thing as too thing. Sort of why iPhones are thicker now than they used to be I think. Or maybe I just get thicker cases now. Anway, as Steve Jobs would say "You're holding it wrong."

I’ve had mine for a few months, and after upgrading from the OLD air, it’s clear the 15 is not quite as bullet proof. I always carry it in a case and avoid picking it up with one hand or putting any pressure on it; the flex is easily felt. Sadly, the new design clearly sacrifices structural stability for thinness. So yea, be careful!
