So … I can plug my Sennheiser HD-600 and get enough volume for it? No need for a DAC?
 
Of course...the small print is, it doesn't say to what volume level it can drive them.
I expect it's the same circuitry they fitted to the Mac Studio.
I've tried HD650's with the Mac Studio. They're ok, and it does go loud enough if you play modern loudly-mastered pop and rock. Less so with jazz and classical.

I need to crank the volume when finding noise to edit out. Acceptable is not enough.

We're all going to have different ideas of what's acceptable though.
It's going to be one of those questions literally no one can truly answer for you because we haven't got your ears and we don't know your expectations.
