hello hive
🙂

proudly owned a mac mini m2 base model which replace my former cMP5,1 and hackintosh.
as 256gb of ssd capacity is quite nothing, i got an OWC ministack housing for a 2tb nvme and 14tb hdd as well.
i deactivated the "put hdd to sleep" option in the system settings already, but the spinner drive always go to sleep after some minutes of inactivity.
may this be a hardware or software ( ventura 13.3 ) problem?

Software and hardware, sense the advent of SSD technology and NVME next step use less and less power and kids today wonder why consumer drives always seem to sleep, it's hardware! You need NAS style HHDs that don't have that energy save functions in any NAS!
