I know a bit of informatics and on a basic logic level telling to the computer to only run certain programs instead of running em all together would make it work faster, since none of his RAM and CPU would be used by softwares other than musical ones. If you got any informations and would like to share em i would appreciate, thanks☺️

yeah... no. ram is ram, a partition isn't going to make a difference. IF you have issues with ram, or cpu usage... reboot, make sure no apps are set to open on startup... and open ONLY your DAW. and get to work.

you can always check Activity Monitor to see if anything is taxing the CPU or eating up memory.

a partition is like another drive, and if you need that... connect an external drive. but again, no one i know in 2023 (other pros, the studio i work in, etc) is partioning their internal drives (much less one on a macbook).
