M2 MBA webcam fuzzy - Anyone have a workaround?

Just as the title says, the webcam on the new MBAs produces a 'fuzzy' picture in FaceTime (the only video chat I've tried so far).

I'm assuming this is a software 'feature' to smooth out the image, but it's far too strong of an effect, in my opinion.

Is there a workaround for this? Or are we stuck with it, hoping Apple fixes it?

I Have an M2 Air and do not have that problem. I've not read this is a major issue and if cleaning it does not fix it I would take it to Apple. This is insofar as I know, not a widespread issue.

No fuzzy on mine. Multiple facetimes.

check in photo booth; if it's ok there, it's a facetime issue. if it's still a problem... call apple.
