Yesterday I plugged the new MacBook Air M3 to the Apple Studio Display, but I noticed that compared to the previous MacBook Air M1, the resolution (default: 2560x1440) has changed (everything is smaller). Would anyone be able to explain why? If I switch to the next one (2048x1152) everything looks less sharp and I don't know how to solve the issue.

Was your M1 MacBook running a version of macOS older than 12.3? That’s the oldest OS that supports the Studio Display, and both M1 and M3 computers should look identical.
Also, are you using the cable that came with the display?

Same macOS version (latest one) and same cable (that came with the display)...

Have you tried shutting down your MacBook M3 Air and pulling the power plug on the display for a minute then plug it back in, wait for the three dots to appear, once cycled and they have gone boot up, also make sure its running firmware version 17.

Hi, just tried but nothing changed, the firmware is v. 17. PS I plugged the cable on the thunderbolt port near to the MacBook Air magsafe, is it right?
