I always thought the M4 iPad Pro's when nicely equipped w/keyboard (add list $300/$350 USD) weren't that much different from a 14.1" Mac Book Pro pricing. So it's good that more discounting is taking place if anyone wants a M4 iPad Pro.

Yes but you cant carry that in a small bag or use it on a plane for example.

The screen and hardware are super nice but it’s functionally handicapped compared to a MacBook.
I’ve never been able to find a use for these. Even with the keyboard the workflows are horrible and for the price you may as well just get a MacBook.

Any price in Canada has the sales tax added at payment, whereas in the UK the listed price includes tax.

In Quebec, for example, 15% sales tax.

The 13” 2TB nano-glass is listed at $3179 CAD + sales tax 😱 . I’m certainly not in the target market.

Better if it's not discounted in your country, so you're tempted to buy an iPad that is already obsolete due lack of RAM.
The next generation will finally get a bump from 8GB to 12GB. Even though M4 iPad has a 16GB option on the 1TB+ version, what's important is the base model. When Apple decides that 8GB is not enough on M4 iPads for certain features, you know that the 16GB version will also be left out.
An iPad needs more RAM than an iPhone. It's crazy that M4 iPads have the same amount of RAM as M1 from 2021, especially now with Apple Intelligence.
I was prepared to upgrade, but I'll have to skip this generation. And this is coming from someone who is still using an iPad Pro 10.5" (2017).

Not everyone wants or needs a Mac. Doesn’t make sense to buy a product you don’t really want or need, just because it may be slightly cheaper than the product you do want.

Hard to set that on a table at a coffee shop to get your work done. Don’t even try to use a Mac Studio on a plane. Those little tray tables will have a hard time holding up the studio, the display, keyboard and mouse.

The M4 iPP is good to go for the next 5 years at least. 8GB RAM in Ios/ ipad OS devices is perfectly adequate because it is an efficient mobile OS.
