Do any of you struggle with the fact that these always put the “inside“ of the screen protector piece onto the surface of the table/counter/etc.?

I know they have been this way since the original Smart Cover, and I have always used these for all my iPads, but it bothers me that the part that was just against whatever was on the table is now against the screen. At home this is fine because I completely control how clean the surface is. Out and about though, I could never just prop it up on a Starbucks table or whatever.

I wish they could make them such that the cloth side was inward when in stand mode. 🤷‍♂️

Also add me to the group that would rather have the old fold pattern, which was better when folded onto itself as a grip in portrait. The old folds also worked better for laying the iPad almost flat rather than standing up, which is how I use it most often. It’s not terrible. I just prefer the older way.

I only feel it snap in the most leaned back position. It does not snap into place in the middle position. It just kind of slides around. Does anyone have any feedback on this?
Yeah, it seems to me that there are only two viewing angles, then you can choose any position between those two angles, but it doesn't snap.

Anyone spotted any good 3rd party variants yet?

Feels like normally you've got more variants and quicker already. I've seen a few with a an extra flap which is pointless (for me) and ones that are not magnetic. Only seen 1 that seems ok which has 3 seperate magnetic parts, the flap (but seperate), the back part and the folding part but also seen that that one has some issues with magnet power and such.
