This is obscene. I've been trying to get Siri to work for a disabled friend who wants to be able to play music from his Music library, but his deteriorating condition means he can't use a keyboard to activate it, and he can't put in earbuds without help (which would be a stupid way to listen to music playing on his computer with some nice speakers). Apple wants him – living on stingy disability benefits – to buy a $1600 display just so his Mac will listen to him? Disgusting.

AAPL wants a person spending USD3K on a fully-capable Studio to purchase a display just so their Mac will listen to them.

This is not discrimination, unfortunately ;(

I was shocked the other day when I asked "Hey Siri!", and my M4 Macbook Air started talking with me . . . .

PSA if you have Apple Intelligence enabled and you want to speak to Siri, you can click and hold on the Siri icon to skip the "type to Siri" dialog and go straight to voice input without having to click the microphone icon separately.
