Just rename the file as an m4r file and then add it back to itunes. It will show up as a ringtone.

I just posted this yesterday, hope it helps. -

Are you on a pc or mac? If your on a pc and running vista, go to the folder that new file ( the one you already converted to AAC and changed to 30 seconds in lenth)

Look up in the top left corner and click, Organize> Folder and Search options> View>and uncheck hide file extensions. From there you can edit the file name by clicking rename. Then just click the file, and it will open in itunes.

That's all if your running vista.

This is the correct answer. Rename the file extension from .m4a to .m4r, add to itunes. Sync with iPhone. Done

    Where bunnies are welcome.
Not to be the MR police or anything, but you both are responding to a year old thread, if you didn't realize it. The OP already got the correct answer, which truncj just repeated.

Lots of revivals of old dead posts on here lately.

You should be the MR police. (; A newbie resurrecting a year-old thread with a link to software when the question has already been answered is almost surely spamming.

A look at his other post will confirm this, as he's created a whole new thread, just to link to the same software. Feel free to report the thread next time, iphone.aggie. I just did.
