I suspect most reviewers are focused on the Neo and Pro. The Air is a bit boring and we already know the performance through iPad Pro and base MBP.
that generally doesnt stop them from releasing videos to get the views and collect their income

Under normal circumstances, yes. But Apple launched so much stuff last week. This means content creators have to think strategically since they have limited resources.

Their goal is get max engagement and long term views. Long term gain over short term wins. An unboxing and news reporter rehash of the M5 MBA is boring.

To make people click (not just for week but for a year) and actually share, they need to create:

"MacBook Neo vs. MacBook Air M5: Don’t Make a $500 Mistake!"

it seems they sent them all the devices at once, so they are picking and choosing what to release. Just seen a couple M5 max reviews trickle in as well and they blended in the M5 air results as part of the one review, so yes, you're likely correct

Yep, some reviewers are going for the mass market devices first.

Any MacBook Air M5 review comparing with MBA M4? I would like to see real world differences (mainly Machine Learning prototyping using Python, including training with Random Forest and XGBoost)

I don’t remember everything he tested but he did compare some of that in this

The few reviews so far have highlighted the doubled SSD read/write speeds, neural accelerators in the M5 and usual stuff like 4k video editing rendering times. All very impressive really, it’s the best all round fanless ultrabook on the market period. The 15” model is what I'm after, already 9% off on amazon uk for some colours. Its finally time to upgrade my 2015 MBP!

I haven't played around much yet on it since I'm working but it feels so much faster even wifi seems snappier. I just don't know if I'm sold on the color: Silver. I wanted to go back old school. But I might swap out for Midnight again.

I went with silver as my M3 Midnight was a nightmare for fingerprints even with the “improved” coating. Silver is the iconic macbook color IMO.

Would have been nice to change some of the colours like bringing back space gray.
Space Grey is by far my favourite Color, i know alot of people found it boring but it was the perfect blend of a darker shade without it turning into a fingerprint magnet. Thats being said i got my M4 air in Silver and it does look nice.

All the colours have price cuts, except the Silver, probably as its most popular/neutral. I like midnight but looks identical to my work surface laptop 3, so waiting on silver to price drop.

I’m not in the market for one but I’m disappointed in the colours. Mainly that they dropped space grey which I think has been my fav colours out of all MacBook ranges. I think I even prefer over silver

A few small things not noted in the reviews... Bluetooth range seems to be much farther with my AirPods Pro 3 and it runs cooler than my M4 MBA.

Silver is the color that wears/ages the best.
Worth thinking about in terms of resale or trade in down the line.

The blue isnt bad either for that very same reason
Ok so I'll admit, I got the Midnight and silver just to see. I've had Midnight before and now after using it, I'm returning the Midnight solely for the reason that it's keeping marks and fingerprints worse than the M2. I'm keeping the silver.

Also, wifi is better, too.
