Apple's newest M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models have been hitting new low prices on Amazon recently, and now the M5 model from 2025 has a new record low price. You can get the 32GB/1TB 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro for $1,799.00, down from $2,099.00.

At $300 off, this is now the lowest price we've ever tracked on this model, and it's only available in Silver. This is the model that launched in the fall of 2025 as part of a refresh of the MacBook Pro lineup, featuring a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display and 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU.

Amazon provides an estimated delivery date of May 13-14 for free delivery options, depending on your location. If you're on the hunt for more discounts, be sure to visit our Apple Deals roundup where we recap the best Apple-related bargains of the past week.

Wow. A 32GB, 1TB 13" MBA on Apple's website (with comparable 70W charger) is $1,719. That's a lot more tech - that some people may never need, of course! - for $80. Plus, the Amazon model is available for overnight delivery versus Apple's estimate is June 3-10.

Man.....I bought (and still love) my M1 pro when it first came out but I used the education discount to get the bare bones 16gb/512 model and it was $1798 I'm pretty sure. M5 with 32 gigs and 1TB for the same prices? ouch for me.

I get that technology will always get better and AI driven price increases aside, you get the newer M? every year for roughly the same price but it still hurts to see that much more performance and then a huge upgrade on ram and storage included.

Feel free to start building gaming PCs if you want to always pay more for less

Wait! I just asked ChatGPT to predict the future and here's what it said: "Yes, it is highly likely that Amazon will drop the MacBook Air to $749 again."

Can't wait!

Deals were a lot better on MBP when the entry level chip on the 14 inch was the Pro chip. I got my M1 Pro for $1499 back then and now in 2026 it is in some ways still more powerful than the $1799 sale M5 MacBook Pro non-Pro. Call me when the M5 Pro hits $1499 and I'll bite.

Same spec as mine you will love it. Took a month to arrive
What did you upgrade from out of interest?

I'm coming from an M2 Max 32GB

Hoping for noticeably snappier single threaded stuff, better battery and not having to think about turning off Docker containers so much.

Slightly worried going to fewer (if newer) GPU cores and lower memory bandwidth might negate the other upgrades

I really wish they made the 16" MBP with base M5 chips also.

All the screens smaller than 15" MBA (15.3") are too small for me these days, but I don't need or want to pay for a Pro chip.

The screen size.
I'd buy a 17" MBA if they made one.
Ah fair! I prefer a bigger screen too, but the level of chonk on the 16" pro is pretty noticeable. 15" MBA form factor is perfect but I need the performance for dev work, so 14" screen which at home is usually plugged into an old LG Ultrafine 27" for Mac is the perfect combo for me.

Absolutely can't wait for M5 Pro with 64gb Ram to rip through every task
