Interesting. 7349 is a lot but overkill for most people.

Aside from businesses or some rich people would anybody ever spend that much for a laptop?

Or is there any app that would even need 128gb ram and 8tb storage?

8tb storage maybe for editing videos or photos.

But do any of the editing apps even use 128gb ram? Or does any app?

Maybe 10 apps running at the same time. I can't think of anything else that would require 128gb ram.

You can use 128GB of RAM with large AI models, running a serious cluster in a bunch of VMs, or using Maxon's Redshift renderer on more than a toy project.

I can't see why ANYone would spend $7k on a laptop, be it Apple's, or anybody else's.
The only exception would be for business, bought with company money, as a depreciable asset...

Same here, but you could say the same about $50k on a car or $500k on a house or $200 on a dinner.

For some people, it's chump change. For me, it's not.
