Hi Guys,

I'm just about to pull the trigger on an m7 MB and whilst I know battery life varies massively on what you do on the machine but in what could probably be described as "general" usage, web browsing, mail, terminal (ssh) etc what sort of battery life are you getting?

Appreciate any advice!

Just web browsing I'm getting pretty close to the 10hr rating on my m7. If I set the brightness really low at night I can push 12hrs. YMMV depending on what sites you visit.

If I don't hook up to an external monitor, it will last at least a full 8-9 hour work day. I mainly use browsers/outlook/RDP/terminal/skype sort of applications for development/testing. I keep the brightness on a reasonable level ~60-75%. Starting ~8AM, it will get below 10% around 6PM with average use (closing it while I'm out to lunch). Very good overall. Just be mindful of applications that like to churn CPU (i.e. photos app, or initial syncing of outlook/emails/google drive etc.), as they can reduce it substantially.

Thanks for the replies! Ive ordered the m7 and now the wait begins! Glad to hear people are getting close to the 10 hour mark with the sort of usage I'd do!

Bring on the slimness!
