My computer is barely used .. brand new condition. I am the original owner and only user.

iMac, 27in, Late 2013
OX X Yosemite Version 10.10.5

Processor: 3.5 GHz intel core i7
Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB

Was surfing the net. The computer suddenly crashed. I turned it back on and now it makes a loud and constant static sound even with sound turned off.

I play music or video and the static continues while the song or video plays in the background. This does not sound like a speaker issue.

Can any of you tell me what is going on and how I can fix it.

If the sound is not coming from the speaker, then it seems like it could only be a hardware issue. You need to have a Apple Tech check it out.
You could try a Safe mode to see if there is a change, but it is unlikely to help if it is a hardware problem.

OP:
Do you have AppleCare on it?

If so, take it to an Apple Store right away.
