So I just got one of these Ati 9800XT 256mb mac model cards that I wanna use in my G4 dual wind tunnel.

Will this work? I know about the sticky tape as its a card for the G5, and has an ADC connector too, but have read somewhere that this model wont work on the G4 MDD?

Don't have a 9800XT but I got a 9600XT and did the pin 3 and 11 mod and it works fine in my PMG4 MDD.

if its a G5 9800 XT then it will have an AGP Pro slot and it will not fit/work in your G4 MDD sadly.

if its a G5 9600 XT then it will just have a regular AGP slot and will work fine in an MDD as long as you tape pins 3 and 11.

Many G5's cards use AGP Pro connector which is incompatible with G4's. An AGP Pro card only works in an AGP Pro slot. But you can use an AGP card in an AGP Pro slot, though.

PS: it seems all 9800 cards with ADC are not compatible with G4's.
