MAC Address help

Hi,
I've been trying to spoof my mac address and have been unsuccessful.

i have tried some terminal commands

sudo ifconfig en1 ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

and

sudo ifconfig en0 lladdr 00:00:00:00:00:00

and when i check my mac address, its still the same as before

as well, i tried changemac, but it still didnt change the mac address

can anyone please help?

I've searched and seen where many say the OS X kernel does not allow these changes.
