If I hook up a new Mac Air 2011 to a new TB 27 display....will it display at the full resolution? Or is it limited to display the Mac Air native resolution?
good to know. My first gen Mac Air did not display to the full resolution of my monitor. I called Apple care and they told me it was limited to the Air's resolution. I also thought it was pointless. I guess they fixed it. Thanks
Just a note - If you mirror the display, the resolution will be limited to the ones supported by both the computer's screen and the external display. If you extend the display, you can run whatever resolution you want to on the external display, as long as the graphics card is powerful enough to support it.
Unless you were running a 30" display (which the 1st gen MBA wouldn't run), you were given wrong information. It would have done up to 1920x1200 on an external display.
