I use the Mac App Store every once and a while and sometimes find something worthwhile. However, most of my time is spent wading through a sea of apps that are poorly designed or have little functionality.

Finding exactly what I want is also difficult. There are not many subcategories to sift through; apps just seem bunched together in large, general categories.

Am I the only one that feels like this? I feel the same way about the iBookstore and to a lesser extent, the iOS App Store.

Agreed. I don't think I've purchased a single app from the app store that I didn't previously know of. The single exception is a free Sketchbook Express app.

The app store sucks to navigate. But if you know what you're looking for, it's not bad. e.g., the search box works.
