Hi all.
My name is Matt, I'm the developer of Eternal Storms Software, responsible for the apps Yoink, flickery, Briefly and Transloader.
I'd like to let you know about a substantial update to my screenshot app ScreenFloat (Mac App Store - $6.99, demo available (direct download)).
What does ScreenFloat do?
ScreenFloat lets you create floating screenshots to combat having to switch between windows, apps or spaces to transfer information between them. Take a screenshot of the relevant portion of your screen and it pops up floating above all windows, apps and spaces. Now you can switch to the target window and comfortably and easily copy down the info you needed.
Shots are stored in ScreenFloat's Shots Browser where they can be titled, tagged and categorized with the help of "Smart Categories" based on different criteria, like Smart Folders in Finder.
What has changed since version 1.0?
Since the original introduction of ScreenFloat back in 2011, I added lots of useful new features and tweaks.
Version 1.5, which was released last week, includes these changes and more:
* Timed Shots - take floating shots with a delay
* Sharing - quickly share shots via eMail, AirDrop, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Messages or ImageShack
* The transparency of floating shots can be adjusted by scrolling up or down in them, making it easier to compare graphical elements, for example
* Easier copying by double-clicking onto a floating shot (which can be modified so instead it is sent to a specified application)
* Shots can now be printed
* Shots can be resized bigger than their original size, making smaller text more legible
Pricing & Availability
ScreenFloat is available on the Mac App Store for $6.99.
A free 15-day trial can be downloaded from the website (direct download link).
The app requires OS X Lion 10.7 or newer
Thank you for your time and interest - enjoy ScreenFloat
Warm regards,
Matt
