mac beginner question

    i just bought my first Mac and I would like to ask you if you can give me some usefull application to install.
    as well can you give me some links to read how to install / uninstall please?

    The handy Macrumors Beginners Guides include a guide on how to install software.

    Here is a list of links to other software recommendation threads

    To uninstall software, usually just drag it to the Trash from your Applications folder, but you can use uApp if you want to get rid of all the tiny preference files (useful for huge applications) :)

    You may also want to give the VersionTracker site a visit, either to look around or find some of the apps people have recommended.

    They have many useful freeware or shareware apps.
