I was in another room and heard some music playing from my bedroom, I had no clue what it was so I go check it out. When I arrive in my room my Macbook Pro was playing music, pausing, and skipping to the next song. The mouse was moving completely on its own aswell. What could this possibly be? Could something or someone be controlling my Mac remotely?

Yes if you install VPN software and somebody know the password. (someone might install it behind your back)

Check your sharing settings in system preferences. Make sure you disable screen sharing if it is enabled. Is there someone in your family that could be doing it?
