Mac Book Air Model 1304 Keyboard & trackpad dont work

Hi

I got mac book air off ebay, and keyboard and trackpad doesn't work. Could anyone advise how to fix this?

Things I have tried that don't work:-

plugging external keyboard and mouse in
Held down T
Held down cmd or alt to get into boot up screen - doesn't pick anything up
Tried holding tab on startup
cant boot up from working external hard drive (which has operating system on)
reset pram - doesn't seem to work

I don't get any beeps, it does load operating system but everything seems to have frozen as cant use keyboard and mouse.

Please can someone help as I cant think of anything else, when I bought it they didn't mention anything of liquid spills and cant see any evidence of this. There was problem with boot camp but when I got it working for few mins I managed to delete windows 7 partition. When I booted into windows 7 previously both mouse would hang but sometimes keys would type loads of letters without me typing them in.

As with all ebay purchases, buyer beware. Have you contacted the seller?

Yes seller just said, he started having problems when he installed bootcamp. It worked for few weeks then stopped working. So I managed to delete partition with windows on it but still cant use anything now that it boots to Mountain Lion instead of windows 7.

Can anyone think of anything else I can do?

If it were my machine I'd take it to an authorized Apple dealer or Apple store for diagnosis.

I work in I.T. and just trying too see if anyone could help me so I know whats wrong so I can fix it myself. I have fixed many apple mac's before but not mac book air nor have I had this problem before.

Anyone think of any ideas? as I am thinking about buying new keyboard for it as maybe this might solve this problem?
